It’s no secret that MY DRAP prides itself on using 100% natural raw cotton materials to create their signature napkins, placemats, and hand towels. Using socially and environmentally responsible raw materials is at the heart of the MY DRAP ethos. Therefore, it would only make sense that they would launch recycled collections that model this ethos of sustainability.
We’re always innovating new products, redesigning our classics to make them more environmentally friendly. Our thread and weaving suppliers hold numerous, globally-recognized environmental certifications, such as: GOTs, Oeko-Tex Standard 100, BCI, GRS, and ISO 14001:2015.
MY DRAP is green not just in their materials, but also in their manufacturing processes. They consume energy certified by CNMC as 100% green, and have installed a cogeneration plant that uses hot water and steam left over from electricity generation to produce heat (using electricity and sustainable energy jointly to power their factory).
MY DRAP’s commitment to sustainability is also evident in their other practices. They carry out annual reviews of their emission sources; clean their wastewater regularly (reviving a local river near their factory in the process); locally produce all of their textiles in Barcelona, complying with European regulations; and constantly improving the sorting, recovery, and recycling of their waste.
Last Summer, MY DRAP launched their Sustainability Collection, inspired by the natural beauty of planet earth. From this range, three new Recycled Cotton Collections were launched. Made from 100% recycled cotton, you get a product that is just as good for elevating your tablescape as it is good for the planet.
